Ayda is a nutritionist and fitness professional with a focus to not only teach you but also to inspire, encourage and support you as you discover what being healthy really means.

Ayda started her health and fitness journey at a very early age and has never stopped. She is a mom, wife and athlete who loves challenging herself with countless different fitness competitions and activities. Over the years she has discovered how physical health is just one piece of the whole and has researched nutrition, exercise, spiritual health and inner peace. If any piece of that puzzle is missing then you can not be completely healthy and happy. She has also understood that none of us can change anyone except ourself, and so she aspires to be an example and inspire others to change.

You’ve probably heard so many people say “I love what I do”, BUT in my case I can truly say it from my heart. I’ve competed in sports all my life, but it wasn’t so long ago that I really understood that actually I can only ever compete with myself.

“You are perfect, until compare yourself with someone else”

I started contest prep in 2011, and since then I didn’t stop competing. In some competitions I got first place, in some it went not so well, but every competition that I prepared for taught me something more about myself and helped me take the correct direction, which I believe has shaped my work and my life in such a positive way.

When I competed in my first bikini competition I had just moved from my home country Turkey to Canada, and was getting used to the Canadian lifestyle — and, of course, the language too, which was the hardest part for me. I always wanted to do a fitness or bikini competition, but when I was still in Turkey the work and cultural differences made it so hard to do.

So I was in Vancouver BC, working at Steve Nash Fitness Club, and one of my co-workers, who was a competitor herself, asked me “why you are not competing?” I started asking myself and questioning if I could do it? I’d never done anything like it before… Maybe you’re asking yourself the same questions right now! Of course I told myself “absolutely, I can’’. And my competition journey began!

Each show that I competed in gave me more knowledge about my body, and how I can improve. Of course, it’s not easy to correctly identify what’s missing with training and nutrition, and this learning process and all of the experiences pushed me to learn more… I’ve been a personal trainer since 1993, but I wanted more and began my nutrition studies. I finished my Comprehensive Nutrition and Sports Nutrition degrees.

And yes, I am still competing! You can see a list of all of the competitions that I’ve competed in further down this page. And right now, AGAIN, I am getting ready for my next show…!

I’ll warn you right now, it wasn’t easy at all. The easiest part was the training, which was already part of my daily life. But posing, dieting, supplementation, getting a bikini, finding a trainer… This was much tougher, not the mention the cost for the registration, jewelry, tanning, hair and make-up, they cost a lot too. 

But I wouldn’t let anything stop me, and right after my first show — WBFF in May, 2011 — I immediately started looking for the next show to compete in. I was hooked!

I am so happy to be able to help other competitors who are willing to work and improve their mind and health at the same time. My goal is to create healthy and happy bikini competitors, who want to challenge themselves and put in the work that needs to be done to reach their goals. There is really no easy way to get there… But there is a smart way.

Ayda was born and grew up in Istanbul, Turkey. She always loved everything related to health and fitness and started exercising when she was in elementary school! She became a trainer in Istanbul, working with celebrities, business leaders and even the mayor and also held teacher-trainings for other trainers. At the same time she was competing in many long and short distance running competitions ranging from winning three first places and one second place in the sprints at the Athletic Championships of the Balkans up to completing full marathon distances.

When she realized how important correct nutrition is in nourishing our body and spirit, and the direct connection between food and mood, she started to use food as an energy source rather than just to fill her stomach. Any health issues that may arise are an opportunity to learn, and even the negatives in our lives can help us. Studies show that our genes affect the diseases that we get only 8% of the time, so 92% of the time we can control disease.

Ayda always followed her heart and is now living her dream on a beautiful Hawaiian island. She is very grateful to have found her calling in life, she loves helping people and seeing them become better versions of themself. In founding Health Angel she has found the path to being able to reach a lot of people and help them with their health, teaching them how to lose weight and keep it off effortlessly.

“I love what I do, and it saddens me so much when I see that most people in the gym are doing exercises in an inefficient form that can easily lead to injuries, and certainly not lead to seeing the improvement and progress that they want. I always wish that I could just tell them and show them the correct form! It hurts me equally when I see people following someone else’s diet and just seeing results.

I created this 90 day transformation plan so that I can reach as many people as I can and share my own life’s and 30+ years work experience with you. I have been through everything that I’m teaching my clients to go through, I know the bumps and have found the best route to success. I understand that change can be hard but no matter your circumstance it is not impossible — yes you will need to make some adjustments, and yes you will probably see some ups and downs, but consistency will bring results.
